YOUTHFUL Groove on Thursday, July 12, at 7 p.m. features senior and university students as the next generation of chamber musicians at the Old CourthouseCultural Centre on Seymour Street West and First Ave. Pre-show performances at 6:30 p.m. Admission by donation at the door will benefit Boogie the Bridge Youth Cultural Fund. This will be the sixth of 10 concerts in a series produced by Chamber Musicians of Kamloops with support from the City of Kamloops in conjunction with the 200th Anniversary of Fort Kamloops. KAMLOOPS Symphony Orchestra is taking its music to the farm — Thistle Farm, 710 Dairy Rd., on Sunday, July 15 at 5 p.m. An Enchanted Evening at Thistle Farm offers a farm tour, dinner gatered by Terra Restaurant, regional wines and a 20-piece KSO providing the soul food, including music by Mozart and Vivaldi. X FEST 2012 IS COMING! The annual outdoor theatre event takes place July 18 to Aug. 11 with shows at 7:30 p.m. nightly, except Sundays. This year's plays are Shakespeare's classic Romeo and Juliet and Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach. Tickets are $23 for adults, $20 for students and seniors and $12 for children 12 and under. THE THOMPSON-Shuswap Chef Farmer Collaborative invites all to the second annual Farm2Chefs culinary grazing event and fundraiser on Sunday, Aug. 12, 3-6 p.m. at Thistle Farm at 710 Dairy Rd. in Westsyde. Connecting the Dots reflects the notion that artists either locally or globally are able to come together, connect and thus give voice on different ideas, issues and themes. This notion becomes increasingly apparent when today, we are not only connected through digital media and technology but also seem to rely on this digital and social phenomena in our everyday lives. KAMLOOPS Art Gallery hosts a an interactive drawing and storytelling workshop with local artist Emily Hope, whose exhibition The Wild Man Appreciation Society will be on view in the Cube until Aug. 25.
